Heat knock out Knicks, meet Pacers next, Grizzlies survive

The Miami Heat have clinched their place in the second round of the NBA basketball playoffs with a 106-94 win over the injury-ravaged New York Knicks in game five in Miami.

LeBron James scored 29 points as the Heat wrapped up the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series 4-1 to set up a second-round matchup with the Indiana Pacers.

Carmelo Anthony scored 35 for the Knicks.

The Memphis Grizzlies stay alive in their Western series with a 77-65 home win over the Los Angeles Clippers to force game six.
