The Hurricanes coach Mark Hammet believes last night's win over the Highlanders could be a turning point for his side.
The Hurricanes, who snatched a 26-20 victory in the dying minutes in Dunedin, are now only one point behind the Highlanders who have dropped to seventh on the ladder.
Hammet says his side showed real metal to hold out under pressure for long periods of time and says they are looking forward to a new set of challenges as they get to ready to face Australian teams for the next three rounds.
