The Northern Mystics have held on to beat the Southern Steel 49-45 in their ANZ Netball Championship match in Dunedin.
Shooting a perfect game with 35 goals from 35 attempts Cathrine Latu and defender Anna Harrison were key figures in the Mystics return to the winner's circle.
On the back foot after the first quarter, the Steel were forced to chase for the rest of the match. Latu's finishing and Scarlett's ability to snaffle ball were instrumental in keeping the southerners at bay after the home team put in a sustained rearguard action during a competitive second half.
The Mystics are currently third and the Steel 7th.
Tonight the Pulse play the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic and the Queensland Firebirds play the Canterbury Tactix.
