Queensland's rugby league selectors have handed their veteran forward Petero Civoniceva the opportunity to end his celebrated career in the same successful fashion as fellow State of Origin great Darren Lockyer.
Civoniceva has been chosen as a starting prop in Queensland's 19-man squad for the opening game against NSW on Wednesday week in Sydney.
