Smith still buzzing over All Blacks call-up

The Highlanders halfback Aaron Smith says he's still buzzing after being named in the first All Blacks training squad of the year but says he doesn't feel any extra pressure to perform in this weekend's Super Rugby match against the Bulls.

Measuring just 171 centimetres tall and 82 kilograms the Manawatu product is somewhat of a throwback to the number nine of old but his lightning quick delivery and precision passing have many including All Blacks coach Steve Hansen trumpeting his unique skill-set.

Smith says receiving the text from All Blacks manager Darren Shand telling him he was in Hansen's squad was a surreal experience.

The Highlanders team to face the Bulls in Dunedin on Saturday night will be named on Friday.
