Kenny Dalglish's second stint in charge of Liverpool has been ended by the club's American owners, the Anfield great paying the price for his side's worst Premier League finish for almost 20 years.
Liverpool won the League Cup, their first trophy since 2006, and reached the FA Cup final, but they finished only eighth in the Premier League.
In his first spell in charge between 1985 and 1991, 61 year-old Dalglish won three league titles and two FA Cups.
