The New Zealand under-20 women's football team has lost the second match of their American tour, going down 3-0to Pali Blues in Los Angeles.

After winning their opening match against the LA Strikers, Junior Football Ferns coach Aaron McFarland made several changes to his line-up to make sure all players had a match ahead of Sunday's international against the United States.

The Pali Blues are two-times champions of the W-League, the second tier of professional women's football in the United States.

The Junior Football Ferns are using the USA tour to prepare for the under-20 women's World Cup in Japan in August.
