New Zealand is set to have two women competing in the inaugural women's boxing competition at the London Olympics.

New Zealand grabbed two spots through the regional quota system following the World Championships in China.

There are three weight categories in the women's competition with Siona Fernandes in the 51 kilogrammes class and Alexis Pritchard in the 60 kilogrammes category eligible for selection.

Both were beaten early in their events and so the New Zealand Olympic Committee has to ratify any selection.
