Maria Sharapova remains on course for a career grand slam after powering her way into the French Tennis Open semi-finals with a 6-2 6-3 win over Kaia Kanepi.
The Russian second seed broke Kanepi's serve seven times as the Estonian froze on the big stage, and the matched lasted only an hour and 14 minutes.
Sharapova's semi-final opponent will be the Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic who had to come from a set down to beat the Kazakh qualifier Yaroslava Shvedova.
