Four players cited following North v South match

Four players have been cited after an incident in yesterday's North verse South rugby match at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium with South won by 32-24.

Several players became involved in a fracas 32 minutes into the first half of the match.

North halfback Brendon Leonard has been citied for an alleged dangerous tackle on South hooker and captain Jason Rutledge while his teammate Dane Coles has been cited for his alleged part in the same tackle.

Coles has been cited for a second offence for foul play after allegedly striking South's centre Kendrick Lynn.

Kendrick Lynn and North's lock Filo Paulo have both been cited for alleged retaliating punches on Dane Coles and South lock Tom Donnelly respectively.

All four players will face judicial hearings with a Judicial Officer this week.
