Slater could miss Origin decider

Queensland could be looking for a new fullback to replace their attacking genius Billy Slater for the State of Origin series decider in Brisbane on the 4th of July.

A courageous Slater battled bravely through the second half of Wednesday night's 16-12 second game loss in Sydney with a painful knee injury.

He underwent scans on Thursday for a suspected posterior cruciate ligament tear which could sideline him for between two and four weeks.

The Brisbane forward Corey Parker is also in some doubt for game three after suffering an eight centimetre long cut down to the bone of his lower left leg.

The Blues effectively won the game with two tries early in the second half while Cooper Cronk was in the sin bin.
