Ireland call up replacement

1:06 pm on 18 June 2012

The Irish rugby centre Gordon D'Arcy and number eight Jamie Heaslip have been ruled out of Saturday's third and final test against the All Blacks in Hamilton after suffering injuries in the second test in Christchurhc at the weekend.

D'Arcy limped off in the second half with of Ireland's gallant 22-19 loss with what has turned out to be a calf muscle injury.

He'll be going home later this week, and his replacement, the Ulster centre Paddy Wallace is due to arrive Tuesday.

Heaslip broke his right index finger on Saturday night, but the tourists can cover his loss from within the squad.

Captain Brian O'Driscoll and tighthead prop Mike Ross also had X-rays on facial injuries, though the scans were "clear" and both are still in contention for the game at Waikato Stadium.
