The former Counties Manukau representative and All Blacks Sevens star Frank Halai has returned home to play for the Steelers in 2012.
Halai made his return to the Counties club rugby competition last weekend, playing for his old club Pukekohe.
Since the versatile 24-year-old former Wesley College student and Counties Manukau under-20 player made his Sevens debut in 2010 he's helped the team secure two IRB World Series titles, including the last season's crown when he scored 30 tries.
The 1.94 metre, 105-kilo winger cum centre was playing for Waikato but has moved back up north in search of more game time.
