Andy Roddick loses to David Ferrer at Wimbeldon

There are renewed doubts about the American Andy Roddick's future in tennis after he was beaten by Spanish seventh seed David Ferrer in the third round at Wimbeldon.

Roddick won the first set but couldn't hold on and Ferrer came back to win 2-6 7-6 6-4 6-3.

Ferrer will play Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina in the last 16.

Roddick has been a finalist at Wimbeldon three times and gave an emotional farewell to the audience, sparking speculation that he may be close to retirement.

However Roddick says he hasn't made any decisions on his future.
