Scottish rider David Millar won the 12th stage of the Tour de France, a 226-kilometre ride from St Jean de Maurienne.
France's Jean-Christophe Peraud was second and Spaniard Egoi Martinez came home third.
England's Bradley Wiggins retains the overall leader's yellow jersey after he crossed the line with the main bunch almost eight minutes later.
New Zealand rider Greg Henderson was 145th and is 117th overall.
