Paddon out of Rally Finland

12:47 pm on 4 August 2012

The Rally of Finland is over for the New Zealand driver Hayden Paddon.

Paddon had a small malfunction of an engine component in his Skoda forcing him out after just two stages of the second day.

Paddon ays it's bitterly disappointing especially after how good the car was feeling and how easily the times were coming.

He says they certainly had a lot in reserve as they got more used to the car and this is something encouraging to take forward as they now look foward to their next round in Wales in just over four weeks.

Paddon went into the rally leading the Super 2000 category.

Paddon returns to New Zealand this week, before heading back to the United Kingdom later in August to establish a new base for the reminder of the year.
