The Warriors have slumped to a humiliating 45-4 defeat to the Cronulla Sharks at Mt Smart Stadium putting the final nail in the coffin of their National Rugby League playoff aspirations.
The 12th placed Warriors were only two points outside the top eight going into the match and were still clinging to the hope of forcing their way into finals contention.
However today's loss, after last week's tepid 24-22 defeat to Manly, spells an end to their chances of playing finals football.
While the Warriors still technically have a mathematical chance of reaching the top eight, they'll need to win their last four games and hope a multitude of other results go their way.
