Chiefs prop suspended for a week but won't miss a game

The Chiefs prop Ben Tameifuna has been given a one-week suspension for a high tackle during the Chiefs Super rugby final win over the Sharks but he won't miss a game.

Tameifuna has been suspended until Saturday week for a high tackle on Springboks and Sharks number eight Ryan Kankowski.

Tameifuna entered a guilty plea and the ruling means he can't play in the final of the Hawke's Bay club competition or a Hawkes Bay pre-season game.

However with the Chiefs players on two weeks leave after their Super rugby title win, they don't have to join their ITM cup sides until Sunday week, meaning Tameifuna won't miss a match.
