The Wallabies coach Robbie Deans is adamant Quade Cooper will get another opportunity, despite being left out of the squad for Australia's Rugby Championship opener against the All Blacks in Sydney on Saturday night.
Berrick Barnes has been retained at first five with Cooper having played five Super Rugby games and some club matches since returning from knee surgery after being injured in last year's World Cup.
Deans says settling on his first five wasn't difficult as Barnes has been playing well.
He says Cooper took the news of his omission well but says he will get another opportunity with the side.
