Contador set for cycling return

Cleared to ride again after a two-year doping ban he blamed on a contaminated steak, Alberto Contador launches his comeback tomorrow in a mountainous Tour of Spain.

Contador has stuck to his story the trace of banned substance clenbuterol detected in his urine at the 2010 Tour de France came from a contaminated steak he ate.

The 29-year-old two-time Tour de France winner, having been stripped of his 2010 win, claims the injustice of his suspension will spur him on to expand his collection of trophies.

He is among the favourites for the race as the the route this year is particularly mountainous, the type of terrain he enjoys.
