The New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has lost her second round match at the Texas Open, beaten in straight sets by the seventh seed Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa.
The match lasted two and a half hours with Erakovic losing 4-6, 6-7.
It was her last singles match ahead of next week's US Open.
