7:56 am on 24 August 2012

Former Wallabies outside back Clyde Rathbone has rejoined the Brumbies for the 2013 Super Rugby season.

The 26-Test South African-born veteran will return to the side he played 49 games for between 2003 and 2009 on a one-year deal.

After overcoming a battle with depression and a raft of injuries, Rathbone, 31, will reunite with coach Jake White, under whom he captained South Africa to an under 21s world cup victory in 2002 before emigrating to Australia.
