Paralympic flame arrives in London

5:50 am on 30 August 2012

The Paralympic flame has been carried past some of London's most famous landmarks on its way to the opening ceremony.

Thousands of people lined the streets to cheer on the torchbearers as they took the flame through London.

The relay went past the Abbey Road zebra crossing made famous by the Beatles, as well as Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, City Hall and Tower Bridge.

Disabled and non-disabled torchbearers described the amazing feeling of taking part, as well-wishers who came to see the flame said they were left buzzing.
