The manager of English permier league football side Queens Park Rangers has hailed All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen as one of the best professionals he's ever worked alongside.
The former Blackburn Rovers centre-back made his first appearance for QPR in their 3-nil League Cup win over Walsall with an assured display in the heart of defence.
Mark Hughes has told the Fulham Chronicle, Nelsen was excellent and turned in a powerful performance showing exactly why he signed him up.
Hughes said having worked with Nelsen for several years at Blackburn, he knows what he gets from him not just in terms of ability but his mentality and the way he approaches the game on a daily basis.
