The Auckland men's hockey team have won this year's National Hockey League title, beating Southern 2-1 after extra time.
It took just 18 seconds of extra time in the men's clash for the home side's Australian import Tom Wickham to knock in the winner and give Auckland the win.
In the women's final Canterbury claimed their first title in 10 years with a 3-1 win over Auckland.
