Sydney FC have pulled off the highest-profile signing in the eight-year history of the A-League football competition with the signing of the Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero.
Reports from Italian news media confirm the former Italy forward signed a contract with Sydney on Wednesday in Turin.
The 37-year-old striker is expected to hold a press conference in Turin this evening, NZT.
The World Cup winner will reportedly join Sydney on a one-year deal worth more than $2 million.
