Glassey went down on Friday night at the Westpac Community Bowls Stadium to an on-fire local Aidan Lusby 11-2 9-1 in the final of the Welsh Grand Prix Singles play-offs, before recovering on Saturday to beat Waikato's Bennett in a thrilling see-saw final in the Scottish International Open Singles play-offs 8-6 7-9 2-1.

Bennett made up for that loss by winning the World Indoor Singles play-offs also on Saturday in a tight final 9-6, 9-7 over Southland's Craig Merrilees.

The other winner for the weekend was North Harbour's Lance Tasker who took out the 'Shanghai' Singles on Friday night.
