Sports agency sues MLS and Galaxy over Keane signing fee

A sports agency is demanding at least $465,000 in a lawsuit from Major League Soccer and the Los Angeles Galaxy club for helping with last year's signing of Ireland football captain Robbie Keane.

The complaint in Manhattan federal court by Real Time International Ltd says that without its knowledge, LA Galaxy and the MLS exploited information provided by the agency without compensation to complete the deal.

Keane was signed by the Galaxy from English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in August 2011 for over $6 million and RTI says the MLS and the Galaxy improperly deprived it of a fee of around $465,000.
