The Rugby Championship is all over for the Australian first five Quade Cooper.
The injury-plagued Cooper had scans Tuesday on his right knee which revealed a cartilege problem, and he'll need surgery.
It's the same knee which was operated on after last year's World Cup, but the injury isn't long term, and Cooper should be available for Australia's northern hemisphere tour in November.
Australia's squad for their final two Rugby Championship tests in South Africa and Argentina will be named today.
