Jesse Sergent was the best placed New Zealander in 23rd position in the 46-kilometre men's time trial at the World Road Cycling Championships in the Netherlands.
Sergent finished three and a half minutes behind the German Tony Martin, who defended his title.
Sam Bewley was 31st.
