Synders, Ingram take on global World Cup swimming challenge

The Olympic breaststroker Glenn Snyders returns to competitive swimming next week as he begins his preparations for the 2016 Rio Games.

The 25-year-old will compete in all eight rounds of this year's FINA World Cup in the Middle East, Europe and Asia, starting next week in Dubai.

He will be joined by fellow North Shore Olympian Melissa Ingram in all the World Cup meets with several other New Zealand swimmers to take part in various rounds.

The pair leave this weekend with the opening round next Tuesday and Wednesday in Dubai followed by the Doha event next Saturday and Sunday.

The circuit moves to Europe for meets at Stockholm, Moscow and Berlin before the final three rounds in Beijing, Tokyo and Singapore.
