The Australian all rounder Shane Watson continued his impressive form to lead his side to a comprehensive eight-wicket win over South Africa in their Super Eight match at the Twenty 20 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.

Watson picked up two wickets for 29 before smashing 70 off 47 balls for his fourth man-of-the-match award from four matches.

Chasing 147 for victory, Australia lost opener David Warner early but Watson and Mike Hussey steered their side to victory with a 99-run partnership for the second wicket.

Australia have now won both their Super Eight games while South Africa are on the brink of elimination having lost both their matches.
