The controversial cricketer Kevin Pietersen is set to return to the England team despite the mystery still surrounding the contents of explosive text messages that almost ended his career.
Pietersen had been accused of betraying his team-mates in August, during the home test series against South Africa, but the England and Wales Cricket Board says an agreement has been reached for Pietersen's "re-integration" into the team for the rest of the year.
That allows for Pietersen to return in time for next year's back-to-back Ashes series against Australia.
Pietersen has made an all-encompassing public apology for the events of the last two months, and he hopes to be playing again for England as soon as possible.
