Taranaki have beaten Southland 47-18 in their ITM Cup rugby clash in Invercargil.
Southland led 15-6 at half-time, but Taranaki then scored five second-half tries to take control of the match.
It is an encouraging response from Taranaki after they lost the Ranfurly Shield to Waikato during the week.
The result confirms Taranaki a semi-final place in the Premiership while Southland remain just outside of a play-off position in the Championship
