Trio to make Kiwis debut

1:03 pm on 9 October 2012

Three players will make their Kiwis rugby league debuts in this weekend's test against Australia in Townsville.

The Bulldogs NRL prop of the year Sam Kasiano, the Manly centre Dean Whare and the Storm second-rower Kevin Proctor will pull on the New Zealand jersey for the first time on Saturday night.

Proctor has toured with the Kiwis before but has not yet taken the field.

The starting forward pack features four players from the NRL Grand Final, Kasiano and Frank Pritchard from the Bulldogs and Jesse Bromwich and Proctor from Premiers the Storm.

The South Sydney hooker Issac Luke and Warriors second rower Simon Mannering complete the pack.

The side is again captained by Benji Marshall, who is partnered in the halves by Manly's Kieran Foran.

The Penrith prop Sam McKendry is the 18th man.
