The Silver Ferns coach Wai Taumaunu says despite the one-sided nature of yesterday's 63-27 victory over South Africa, the Ferns benefited from testing out new line-ups.
Bailey Mes got her first international cap, and Catherine Latu started at goal-shoot for the first game of the Quad series in Australia.
Mes, who was a surprise selection into the Ferns squad, was replaced at half-time by Laura Langman who shifted to wing-attack, with Kayla Cullen brought on at Centre. The ace-shooter Irene van-Dyk also replaced Latu.
Taumanu says the changes had an immediate impact and cut the error rate.
The game also saw the return of the injury-plagued captain Casey Williams in the second half.
