Lance Armstrong has been accused of using intimidation and threats in a desperate bid to stop a whistleblower going public with claims about his alleged drug use.
Banned from cycling for life by the United States Anti-Doping Agency which claimed he orchestrated the most sophisticated doping program ever seen, Armstrong has always claimed his innocence.
But Betsy Andreu, the wife of Armstrong's former team-mate Frankie Andreu, says she has known the American was doping for 16 years, and has had to deal with his attempts to silence her ever since.
Andreu visited Armstrong in hospital while he was being treated for testicular cancer, when she overhead him admitting to doctors that he'd taken EPO, testosterone, growth hormone, cortisone and steroids to improve his cycling.
And when Armstrong got word that she'd revealed his secret he started a smear campaign that lasted for years.
