Organisers will spend 6 point 6 million dollars to upgrade Pukekohe for a return of the Australian V8 Supercars.

The schedule for next year has confirmed that Pukekohe will host the 4th round of the Championship on April 12th to 14th.

Modifications to the Pukekohe circuit will include three new corners built near the end of its long back straight.

It was last held in Pukekohe in 2007 before moving to Hamilton.

The promoters say work will begin next month on the upgrade to bring the circuit up to international standard, with improved safety and corporate facilities.

There will be 3 international events for the V8 calender next year with Pukekohe in April, the new Texas round in May and a return to Abu Dhabi in November.
