The New Zealand golfer Danny Lee's prospects of gaining his card for the US PGA tour next year have taken a dive after a disappointing final round at the latest event in California.

Lee was tied for 7th at the start of the day and got within a couple of shots of the lead early on, before fading to an even par 71 which resulted in him finishing tied for 16th.

With just a couple of tournaments left, Lee is 167th on the money list, needing a top 125 finish to get full playing rights for next year.
