All Blacks making plans for life without Hansen

4:52 pm on 15 October 2012

The All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster doesn't know if head coach Steve Hansen will be able to travel to Brisbane for Saturday's Bledisloe Cup test against Australia, but the team is preparing for the possibility of playing without him.

Hansen's father Des is seriously ill in Christchurch where the All Blacks are preparing for the test before they fly to Queensland later this week.

Hansen has taken a leave of absence from the team to be with his father.

Foster says the team is carrying on as normal and Hansen is still having an input into the All Blacks preparation.

But he says he's unsure if Hansen will make the team's flight across the Tasman on Thursday.
