Snyders medals again at World Cup

11:33 am on 22 October 2012

The North Shore swimmer Glenn Snyders has placed second in the 100 metres breaststroke at the FINA Arena World Cup meet in Berlin.

Snyders clocked an excellent 57.89 seconds for his ninth medal in the World Cup over the opening five meets in Dubai, Doha, Stockholm, Moscow and Berlin.

The time is just outside the New Zealand short course record the 24-year-old London Olympian set at the same meet last year.

Melissa Ingram had to settle for fourth in the women's 400 freestyle in the final European meet before the World Cup moves to the final three rounds in Beijing, Tokyo and Singapore next month.
