Canterbury has blown Taranaki away by 51-27 in their ITM Cup Premiership semi-final in Christchurch, but not before the game went into extra time.
Canterbury led 27-22 with only minutes remaining, but a try from Taranaki substitute Seta Tamanivalu levelled the scores.
Beauden Barrett missed the crunch conversion kick, meaning the game went into a 20-minute extra time period to settle it.
However, Canterbury turned it on in extra time and a flurry of tries meant they progressed to the final where they'll host Auckland, who beat Wellington in the other semi.
