Indurain comes out in support of Armstrong

The great Spanish cyclist Miguel Indurain has come out in support of Lance Armstrong, saying he's still convinced the American is innocent of the doping scandal that's destroyed his career.

Indurain, who won five straight Tour de France titles in the early 1990s, says Lance Armstrong has always respected the tour regulations, and until now he's never been found guilty of drug taking.

The Spaniard has expressed doubts about the disciplinary procedures against Armstrong, who was sanctioned on the basis of testimonies by former teammates cited in the US anti-doping agency's report, not on the results of drug tests.
