The Black Caps captain Ross Taylor can now head to Sri Lanka to join up with his team-mates after his Delhi Daredevils side was beaten in the semi-finals of the Champions League T20 cricket tournament in South Africa.
Delhi were beaten by 22 runs by local side the Highveld Lions.
Taylor, who scored just one run in Delhi's chase for 140 runs, will now make it to Sri Lanka in time for the New Zealanders first match, a T20 international on Tuesday night.
