Campbell keen to cash in on form

Despite striking a long overdue purple patch of form, golfer Michael Campbell is spending this week with his family.

In the last two weeks in Portugal and Shanghai, Campbell has put together eight straight rounds under par, boosting his earnings for the year to $466,000, and in a way he'd love to be playing again at this week's $8.5 million World Golf Championship event at Mission Hills in China.

But he's decided he needs a week without travel before he winds up his season.

In the next fortnight he'll play the Singapore and Hong Kong Opens in an attempt to qualify for the European Tour's finale, the Dubai World Championship late next month.
