Phoenix try to move on after Jeronimo-gate

1:48 pm on 30 October 2012

The Wellington Phoenix is attempting to draw a line under Ben Sigmund's controversial sending-off and the one-match suspension the All Whites defender suffered on the weekend at Adelaide.

The football club says it accepts the decision made by the Australia Football Federation on the red card issued after Sigmund was ruled to have brought down Adelaide midfielder Jeronimo Neumann.

After the game Phoenix captain Andrew Durante labelled Neumann a cheat for diving. Neumann wasn't sanctioned for simulation and no action has so far been taken against Durante for his comments.

The Phoenix General Manager David Dome says the matter has been laid to rest.

Dome says the correct process has been followed and they're now focused on the Phoenix's next match at Melbourne Victory on Monday.
