Chelsea have come from behind three times to overhaul Manchester United 5-4 after extra time and book a spot in English football's League Cup quarter-finals.
It comes just days after Chelsea's controversial 3-2 Premier League loss to United earlier this week.
Holders Liverpool, fielding a weakened side for the secondary cup competition, have been eliminated by Swansea City 3-1 while Norwich City came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.
In the quarter-finals Chelsea will play Leeds United, fourth division Bradford City will host Arsenal, Swansea will play Middlesbrough Norwich will host Aston Villa.
