The Scottish premier league football club Hearts are in danger of going out of business after confirming they have been served with a winding-up order regarding a tax bill of nearly 900-thousand dollars.

The Edinburgh club is also challenging a 3.5 million dollar bill at a tax tribunal.

Hearts, who were formed in 1874, are pleading for "emergency backing" from every supporter after being issued with a winding up order.
