Towering Sunshine Girl set to dominate under the net for Steel

The Southern Steel have signed the giant Jamaican shooter Jhanielle Fowler, who at almost two metres will be the tallest player in the trans-Tasman competition.

The towering Fowler displayed her 1.98 metres to full effect in the weekend's Fast5 tournament in Auckland - her feeders simply toss the ball above her and Fowler easily outjumped the likes of Leana de Bruin to secure possession in the circle.

The 23-year-old joins her slightly shorter Jamaican team-mate Romelda Aiken, a pivotal member of the Queensland Firebirds, in the ANZ Championship.
