Roger Federer remains on course for a seventh ATP tour finals title after the defending champion defeated third seed Andy Murray 7-6 6-2 to set up a final showdown with Novak Djokovic.
Murray kept pace with Federer in the first set, only to lose a close tiebreak before the Swiss master blew the US Open champion off the court in the second.
In the earlier semi-final, Novak Djokovic had to come back from one set down to beat the Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro.
